If your wardrobe resembles an episode of Hoarders, then it might be time to do some spring cleaning and organize your closet. Without question the looming task of having to sift through everything you’ve collected throughout your winter hibernation is a daunting task to say the least, just think about how relieved you are going to feel when you can finally see your floor again!
Sheplers has come up with some handy tips that will take the stress away from cleaning out your closet and make the transition from cold to warm weather a walk in the park.
- Sort. Creating a visual of what exactly you have in your closet will help you clearly see how much stuff you do – or don’t – need. Create a “Yes,” “No” and “Maybe” pile, and add each item of your wardrobe to one of them. When you are done, bring the “No” pile to a local donation center.
- Toss. Chances are if you haven’t worn something in over a year – it’s time to part ways. That way, you can make room for the items that add nothing to your wardrobe, and make room for all the new items you bring in for spring.
- Organize. Make your life that much easier by cutting the amount of time you spend getting ready in the morning in half, by neatly organizing your wardrobe. Store your winter items in storage bins so you can uncover space you didn’t even know existed.
